If you would like to be a new user of the Aircraft Noise and Performance database website, you must accept the following Terms and Conditions :
The Aircraft Noise and Performance database website is a free-to-use data resource for aircraft noise modellers wishing to implement the modelling methodology described in ECAC. CEAC Doc 29 3rd Edition and ICAO Doc 9911, in a computer program, and/or for practitioners using an airport noise model based on similar modelling methodology. The ANP data comply with the specifications and formats described respectively in ECAC Doc 29 3rd Edition - Volume 2, Appendix G - and ICAO Doc 9911 - Appendix H -, and are provided for the production of noise contours around airports. The noise contours are intended for applications described in ECAC Doc 29 3rd Edition - Volume 1. Using the ANP data for applications not described in Volume 1 is not recommended. The ANP database managers will not be held responsible for either the use made of the ANP data, or results produced and published based on the ANP data.
The ANP database includes default 'procedural steps' to enable the construction of flight profiles. These data are generic and in some cases may not realistically represent flight operations at specific airports. It is the user's responsibility to judge whether the use of these data for their specific applications is appropriate or not.
Although the data providers and the ANP database managers strive to ensure that the data are generated in strict accordance with the standard specifications, inconsistencies and deficiencies may be discovered by users who compare model predictions with measured data. Evidence of inconsistencies may be reported to the ANP database managers, who will inform the data suppliers. The data suppliers will then decide on the action required; only they can amend or approve database entries. Neither the ANP database managers nor the data suppliers will be held responsible for the consequences that such inconsistencies might have for the users and any other party.
Existing ANP data may be updated at any time, in order to improve their compliance with standard specifications. Users will be informed by e-mail of such updates. Neither the ANP database managers nor the data suppliers will be held responsible for the consequences that such updates might have for users and any other party.
The ANP database is provided as is, with no guarantee that it is, or will remain error-free. Any error detected by users may be reported to the ANP database managers, who will address these errors in due course. The ANP database managers will not be held responsible for the consequences of such errors for users and any other party.
'In-service' aircraft models and variants that are not presently covered by the ANP database should be represented by substitutes. The ANP database continues to be expanded so that the need for substitutions can be minimised. Users who consider that their modelling work is compromised by a lack of coverage may communicate their needs to the ANP database managers via the Contacts page. However, given that expanding the database with new entries is a costly process, the ANP database managers are not necessarily able - and have no contractual obligation - to meet the specific data needs of each user.
The login and password of a registered user are personal, and should not be communicated to any third party.
The ANP database managers reserve the right to terminate the account of a registered user who would not respect the Terms and Conditions described above.
These Terms and Conditions may be modified at any time. Registered users will be informed by e-mail of such modifications, and will be required to register again, upon accepting the modified Terms and Conditions.
